This might be a dumb question. But what do contractions feel like?

I never suffered from period cramps . So I have no clue what those feel like either ... 
is the pain all over my stomach? Like a “having to poop” feel? Ontop of belly AND below? 
Can someone answer these for me lol

At first it feels like your belly is tightening, like every muscle is clenching. Then you start having period like cramps that just feel like stomach pains, just a lot lower (very bottom of your stomach, around pubic bone). After that phase, it just starts to feel like your body is being pulled apart by your hips, that’s when I decided to get the epidural, and then I felt nothing besides an intense pressure to push when it was time to push. I pushed like I was pooping out a watermelon and 2 pushes later, baby was here.

The beginning stages are kinda like a tightening feeling in your stomach (and in your back), and it just kinda goes from there. The tightening sticks around, but then you get slight cramps (like any cramp you would get in the rest of your body), and the cramps get worse. At the end of labor it feels like you have to poop.

I doubt it's the same but both times I miscarried it was just really really bad cramps. Like pooping/farting pain x100000, but only under your belly button.

I gave birth 18 days ago and I can't tell you.
It was uncomfortable for sure! And I had diarrhea 😂
But it hard to describe what they felt like to be honest..
