36 or 40?

Does anyone has any reasoning as to why they say 40 weeks when in actuality 40 weeks is 10 months. I never found an explanation that was logical. I hope it’s not cause carrying a baby for 9 months just sound better?🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

You never found an explanation?? Because your 28 day cycle counts as your first 4 weeks. It starts when you start your period. Then around day 14 is when you ovulate and can become pregnant. And then at 14 days past ovulation is when you miss your period. And would be 4 weeks pregnant then.
