Is this a sign of a chemical?

I am so confused as to what is happening to me.

I am just over 5 weeks pregnant. I started spotting around 4:00pm last night. It got heavier into the night and was mostly brown but I went to the washroom once and a significant amount of dark red blood started to come out, like an amount that would come out if you had a heavy period while you were peeing so I figured I was miscarrying.

Overnight there was some more spotting but mostly brown and not heavy, not enough to fill a pad, and today there hasn’t been anything.

I thought I was having a chemical

But now I’m not sure. I will go to the doctor in the morning but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas.

My HCG levels had been rising all of last week normally (doubling every 2 days)
