I was told you should always at least offer the other after they are done on one side. If LO doesn’t take it then they are full and satisfied.

I always had my baby get through the letdown, and about 5-10 minutes on first side (lets say the left first)
Then switched him to right for the remainder of feeding. 
Then next feeding id start on right side, let him get through letdown, feed 5-10mins, then switch to left for remainder of feeding. 
Keeps you equally emptying 👍🏼
