Post Partum rash? And I mean a serious rash.

My son was born 4/4/19. The day after he was born I had a few tiny red dots across my abdomen and on my back. I thought maybe I was allergic to the epidural or something and figured it would go away.

Well fast forward to today 10 days later this rash is completely covering my body. It’s all over my legs, belly, back, arms, hand and fingers. It’s even on the palms of my hands! It itches like the dickens and I can’t sleep! The only place I don’t have it is on my face and my feet. I asked my doctor (who is also my sons pediatrician) at my sons one week check up. She said to take an antihistamine and see if that helped but she said it wasn’t hives? Well that was almost Four days ago and this rash has doubled since then.

I’m going to call her tomorrow and let her know it’s getting worse. But I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else? Has anyone gotten a crazy rash right after giving birth?

Any ideas what this could be?
