Is it safe to stay in a hotel or motel room with a 3 week old baby?

Due to some circumstances I will have to stay in a hotel for a few days with my daughter. Is it safe or could she get sick? Should I get an Airbnb instead? I get worried because they only have private rooms in houses and she is super fussy all night...

My dad passed away and we had the memorial when my son was 2 weeks old. Some people will likely have comments about your small baby being out but sometimes it can't be helped. Just stay in a place that is clean and you'll all be fine

It’s safe! Just make sure you pick a clean hotel and if it makes you feel better spray everything with Lysol as soon as you get there

I recommend bringing your stroller. We took our baby on his first trip when he was a little over a month old (family wedding). He spent a lot of time in the hotel room in the stroller as he didn’t seem comfortable in the pack and play. Make sure to notify the hotel ahead of time. Some places have a whole baby upgrade for the room that can include a pack and play, diaper genie, refrigerator and one place even gave us a cute baby toiletry kit! Good luck!

I second a can of Lysol spray and some wipes I would just take a bassinet or play pen if you can so she can sleep in a familiar place that you know is clean
