So, small background. ever since my relationship with my husband started, I’ve had issues. She’s lied constantly to cause drama, makes up issues in her head, is entitled to everything etc. IMO, it’s because her son is the only independent child and she wants to regain control. Like, when I miscarried in Aug, she made it about her, and treated me like dirt/harassed me and my fam. Small example.

Anyway. So we successfully got pregnant. I’m currently 20 weeks. We found out we’re having a girl (we have a 4 YO son already). Seeing as this will be our last one, we’re hella excited. And her name? Mya Susan. We love Mya, and Susan is after my mother. (Husband chose a fam name for the middle name of our son.)

All we’ve gotten was crappy backlash about the name. ‘Why is Susan the middle name? What about me? Where’s the ___ family name?’ (She will have his last name etc. so there it is.)

I will preface this next per by two things- 1) we are white. 2) she’s extremely racist. According to her, Mya is an ‘ethnic name’ and ‘what are you trying to hide’ etc. starting spouting out racist af stuff. We’re just sick of it.

Help. What should we do. She’s now ‘dealing with it’ in regards to the name but not without comment. We love the name Mya and low many great Myas. Halp
