When did you start to dilate?

I had my cervix checked at 35 weeks 5 days and it’s still fully closed. TIA
I understand that everyone’s different I’m just curious....

Answer

Everyone dilates differently. For some people it’s weeks before birth, for others they only do it at the start of labour. When you dilate is not really important and checking won’t make any difference but it does pose an infection risk. Not many people are dilated at 35 weeks as that’s still pre-term so it’d only be a smaller number so I definitely wouldn’t worry :) x
