So I've been talking to this guy from Detroit and hes being stationed at the base near my house. We've been talking about meeting up and having me show him around. I live in Washington and I'm mixed but i live in predominantly white neighborhood and I always feel insecure around black people only because I've been told I'm not "black enough" and idk that's a whole other topic lol.

But he says hes liking me and I went on his insta and all the girls commenting on his photos were #1 really pretty lol but #2 they were black and idk why it made me nervous to meet him. Like I'm worried our cultural differences will embarrass me or something but I feel so silly for feeling this way.

Hes just from the city where he had to grind hard for what hes got and my parents grew up like that but as adults they finally made it to the top and so as their child I never really struggled. I just am kinda ranting I guess it's just been on my mind I dont even know what anyone would comment lol.
