my dog won’t eat 😭💔

she’ll be a year old at the end of the month. i’ve been mixing her puppy food with adult food for the past probably 5 or 6 weeks, and i ALWAYS mix it with a little bit of wet food. she used to always be excited to eat in the morning, but recently will go over to her food, smell it and walk away.. it makes me wonder if she only eats it because she gets hungry at the end of the day.

however, i’ve done trial and error those past few weeks. so over the course of the day i’ll add to it to see if it’s the WAY i make the food, or the food in general. (if that makes sense) (start with dry puppy food, she still doesn’t eat/not hungry, then i’ll add adult food, and then if she still won’t eat (which if she’s hungry in the afternoons i just give her dry food so it’s not her being picky about wet vs dry) then i add wet food and hope she’ll eat. she usually still didn’t eat until hours later.

i’m 31 weeks pregnant and she has really bad separation anxiety. i don’t know if either of these are contributing factors especially since i’m nearing the end of my pregnancy. we’re nearing the end of the second day of her not eating. she didn’t eat at all yesterday so today i figured maybe it was the old food she didn’t want. so i made her a new bowl, with less in it. some puppy food, and some chicken from fresh pet. she’ll eat the chicken on its own, but not when i mix it with the food (prior to yesterday she would) and some white rice. she’ll eat small treats i give her, as well as a bone i got her from the store.

she’s been sleeping ALL day today and hasn’t played with any of her toys, which is like her daily routine. i just feel really bad for her and i don’t know what to do 😭

also if you have tips for separation anxiety, that would be awesome. i don’t want my dog to torture herself in her crate just because i need to spend an hour at walmart shopping for groceries. (she did this to her nose trying to get out of her crate) she also has never chewed a single pair of shoes and decided to do so the other day which made me think twice. so idk what it is..
