Doctors pushing BC after giving birth

I am almost 37 weeks pregnant and a couple of weeks ago while at one of my routine appointments we were discussing my scheduled c section and my doctor asked me if I was done having kids and wanted to get the surgery while I was having my c section. I thought this was odd considering I am only 26 years old and this is only my second child. Yesterday I had another appointment with a different OB and she asked me if I was thinking about birth control after giving birth. I just found it really strange that they keep asking me about it.... it’s not like I have a bunch of kids or am at an older age for having kids so I thought it was just really strange. I am considering the copper IUD after because I don’t want any hormonal birth control. Has anyone else had any similar experiences? I love my doctors I just thought this was extremely strange
