Raffle to fund wedding
My supervisor just got an invite to participate in a raffle to help fund her friend’s daughter’s wedding. She asked me if this was a new trend among young people, but I’ve never heard of this. They’re selling tickets (1 for $10 or 3 for $20) for a chance to win a $500, $200 or $100 gift card. Would you raffle to help raise money to pay for your wedding? Why or why not?
I think it’s weird, but it’s new to me 🤷🏻♀️
