How are you finding a heartbeat?

I see a lot of you with home Doppler’s finding your baby’s heartbeat. How far along are you all? I’m 10 weeks Monday and can’t find a heartbeat for the death of me 😭 Also does size effect it as well? I’m a little on the heavier side but i didn’t think it would be this hard ...

Look mainly down near your pelvic bone ...remember baby is still small n low just take ur time first time it took me 30 minutes to find it

I’ve never used a home doppler, but in my previous pregnancies my midwives haven’t even been able to find it at 10 weeks, and they have a lot of training/experience and probably better equipment.

i tried using my Doppler at 10w and haven’t found the heartbeat yet. I’ve had a lot of reassurance from friend that they couldn’t find the heartbeat until after 12w. Finding it before then is really rare and you may have an anterior placenta. I had one with my last pregnancy which is definitely a stress induced but I wouldn’t worry at this point. It’s too rare to find it this early mama.

This my second pregnancy playing around with the Doppler.  1st time I found mine at 10 wks I watched YouTube videos lol and this time around I just remembered where they showed me while doing an ultrasound.
