Is this normal spotting? Cause for concern?

I just found out I'm pregnant this last week and am almost 5 weeks. This morning I started having some brown spotting when I would wipe, and now this evening the color is pinkish/red. Just enough to notice when wiping, none on my underwear. Is this normal spotting or should I be concerned? I didn't have any spotting at all my last pregnancy so this is new for me. Thoughts ladies?

I would head to the ER and call your doctor to be safe. Women can go on to have healthy pregnancies with bleeding, but it is best to get checked. Sending you love!

If it's not much it's probably ok.  If it starts becoming a lot or if you start cramping that could be a problem. I had bright red blood at 5 weeks my first pregnancy. Went through to my pants.  I freaked and went to the ER. They said I wasn't miscarrying.  It happened again a few times the next couple weeks.  Everything turned out fine. My baby just turned a year old this month

The spotting went back to brown and is almost completely gone now.

I get a little pink spotting after sex with my husband which goes away and I’m fine.
Heavy bleeding or clots or pain is best to got straight to the ER... hospitals normally have a number you can call and speak with a midwife. They will ask a few questions than tell you either come in or wait

6 pregnancies so far for me. Both times i had brown spotting then red were miscarriages. The rest had no spotting and successful pregnancies. Good luck. ❤

Go to the ER I had a miscarriage like that but sometimes a lot of women bleed during the first weeks

That isn't a good sign. Definitely go in! The only time I had bright red blood was a miscarriage 😔 keep us updated
