PTSD?

Is it possible to have PTSD from losing a pet? Last year I lost my cat very unexpectedly due to heart failure. We were at the vet and he was in an oxygen tent when it happened. They tried preforming cpr but it didn’t work and they brought his lifeless body back to me. To this day, it has been the most traumatic and painful thing I’ve ever experienced. I’ve lost pets before. I was only 18 when I had to go and put my lifelong dog to sleep. But this is a whole new level. I can’t bring myself to wash the shirt I was wearing that day and I think about it all the time. I remember everything like it was yesterday. If anyone talks about him, I burst out in tears. It isn’t like any other pain I’ve ever felt before. It is like torture. The thought of it ever happening again makes me tremble. Could I have PTSD from what happened to my cat? I haven’t ever told anyone how I feel because it just sounds so stupid to say out loud
