Loosing my V-Card?

my friend and I have been friends for a long time and we tried being in a relationship but it didn’t work out but we’re still good friends and nobody cheated or anything like that so we’re still cool and comfortable with each other and we decided to be friends with benefits and things have been getting more heated when we’re together than the usual and should I loose my V to him he’s a Virgin too and we’re really comfortable with each other but idk if I should I’m 16 years old and he’s 17 and we have been taking about it and if so can I get some tips
