Pregnancy massage?

I’m wondering how many mommas out there have had a pregnancy massage? Was it worth it or did you find it to be helpful. I’m 33 weeks and have started having Braxton Hicks. I’ve also had a bit of lower back pain!

I just had one yesterday actually! I was slightly disappointed, she said she couldn’t do any deep tissue since I’m pregnant, which I totally understand, but it literally just felt like she was rubbing oil on me with not even the slightest bit of pressure! I’ve heard amazing things about prenatal massages, so it could just be the place I went to. I was just disappointed it wasn’t cheap. I feel like seeing the chiropractor helps A LOT more. I had one at 33 weeks. It was relaxing but I left a little disappointed because she couldn’t do any deep tissue.. I have major knots and tightness in my back and shoulders and she hardly helped it at all. I probably won’t schedule another until after I give birth.

I've been getting one once a month. It's nice. But they cant do deep tissue. I'd probably consider it barely a swedish massage. Tell them your problem areas though and theyll most likely go a little bit deeper (depending on the location) my next massage, I'm going to ask for a Good foot rub🤣
Also, make sure you inform them you're pregnant. Some MTs arent comfortable doing prenatal massages and they also have to set the bed up differently. Also, they have to avoid certain areas on the body while you're pregnant.

I’ve had one a month since the second trimester started! Wondering now when I should stop. I’ve scheduled my next few for every two weeks because now I’m in my third trimester my back bothers me a lot more. I only wish they would do my legs as well - I go to Massage Envy and they really just do my back, shoulders, etc.

I’m definitely going to be requesting a referral to a chiropractor at my next appointment (32 weeks). I’ve been dealing with PSD/PGP since 18 weeks and I’m willing to try anything for some relief at this point. 😩😭
