Toddler sleep

So where does your toddler sleep, age 3? Our house is bigger and we have enough room in our Master for a twin bed and a crib. Our 7 month old is in a crib in our room and our 3 year old is also in our room, in their own bed. But when we've tried to put him in his own room he will wake 3 or 4 times a night verse sleeping all night. I was thinking about putting both kids in the same room once the baby turns a year. Anyone else have this issue?
