Thoughts on the patch?

I’m against the shot because I was forced to get it when I was 14 and it made me gain soooooo much weight. Like 50lbs in 2 months, my parents immediately switched me to the pill. But now, life is busy, I’m tired and I’m too forgetful to take a pill everyday and I have a huge fear of any implant. Just the thought of an iud or arm implant, just anything staying inside me freaks me out.

So basically, I feel like the patch is my only option. I want to be protected, but idk what my best options are. Any advice? Have you used the patch before?
