Birth control problems?? potentially

hi so i just started birth control, it’s been about a month and i ended my period, everything was fine, about 10 days from my period i started having very heavy brown discharge? idk of this is normal or not, i also have sex frequently so idk if this has something to do with it, but these past two days it’s been pretty consistent and heavy, and my next period isn’t awhile from now and this doesn’t seem like normal breakthrough bleeding?? please anything would help
