What's your thoughts on eating peanuts?

Anyone avoided peanuts during pregnancy but still have a baby with peanut allergy?

There's no proven correlation. Eat as many as you'd like!

Now they recommend you eat it during pregnancy as well as feed high risk foods to your 6mo old when they start solids as soon as possible because it reduces the chance of an allergy. Our pedi told us to start with peanut butter, eggs, and strawberries.

You’re totally fine to eat it during pregnancy, and they actually suggest early exposure with little ones when you start solid foods. I’ve never been super careful around my own little ones with peanut butter. I’d eat a pb&j while nursing them. The only allergies we’ve had were with our oldest: milk, but he’s outgrown that one; and red dye, that still gives him problems at 3 1/2. Luckily neither have been life threatening, just uncomfortable.
