Short luteal phase? Any advice or experiences

I’m hoping someone can help me or share experiences with me ! So this is my first month using opk and I finally got my possitive cycle day 20 so I will ovulate cd21 , my period is due in 7/8 days so 6/7 days after ovulation ! Giving me a shorter than 10 luteal phase , do you think I still have a chance to conceive? Please can anybody share any experience positive or other wise ! And advice please ! Thank you in advance ! Xx

It's not a guarantee your luteal phase will be shorter. Your luteal phase is consistent cycle to cycle. The time between your period and ovulation is what varies. A luteal phase is typically 12-16 days. If you've always had your luteal phase in that time frame, odds are this time it'll be that long. You just ovulated a little later, therefore pushing your period back a little later. Just wait and see what happens the next week or so.
