What happens if water breaks but no contractions start? And if you are strep b + ... will they induce and hope for a vaginal birth or will they just go for a c section?

My water broke. Waited 4 hours to go to the hospital to see if my contractions started. Got to the hospital and learned I had gbs. Since my contractions never started on their own I had to be put on pitcion. I have him natural the next day. No issues

U need to go to the hospital any time ur water breaks as it puts the baby at higher risk for infection

They would induce you and see how you go from there. When your water breaks I believe that means they have 24 hours to get baby out until risk of infection sets in?

They will have you come to the hospital so they can start antibiotics and also probably start pitocin to help the process along. 
With my first, I didn’t have strep b but my water broke before my contractions started so they started meds to help my cervix and contractions along. My water broke at 1045pm we got to the hospital around 12am and I had my son the next day at 2pm.
