Has anyone ever had a CVS done?

I’m 12 weeks pregnant and my NIPT came back 73 percent positive for Turner syndrome. I’m meeting with a generic counselor and getting a cvs tomorrow. Has anyone ever had this procedure? Super nervous and beyond devastated.

I've had it, you have to keep extremely still and relax your muscles to allow the needle in which is so difficult because you want to tense up as they're pushing a needle into your pubic area! It doesn't hurt as such it's just uncomfortable. I found quite emotional just because of the nature of why I was having to have it. Fingers crossed for you xx

I had one this pregnancy at 14+2. My placenta is anterior so they could go through the belly to get a sample.
It was rough for me, it was the day before the anniversary of my MMC. I opted to watch and would not recommend doing so.
We got the FISH results a week later and the full panel a week after that.
26 normal, healthy chromosomes. 💙
