Steroid shots and fetal movement decrease...?

I had a steroid shot test at 34 weeks for baby’s lungs, after the shot he was his usual very active self. Today after the second shot I have had very little movement. I drank orange juice and ice water and laid on my left side for 2 hrs. I was able to get 11 kicks (dr said to call if I had less then 10 kicks in 2 hrs.) but this is still a major decrease in activity. Had anyone noticed a decrease in fetal movement after steroid shots?

I had. 6 shots two weeks ago... And I myself was so sick... I noticed baby had very slow. And less movement... After three days I was so worried. But on 4 th day I myself felt better and baby was moving around better... It's from the steroids... I was also worried but as long as you feel some sort of movements it's okay...

I’ve had steroid shots with my last pregnancies I’ve never had reduced movement after them.. but I did have to deliver my oldest son 7wks early because of reduced moment (he was in distress cord around his neck) and my last pregnancy with my daughter they brought my c-section forward by a week as I was having episodes of reduced movement over 4days, so they brought it forward as they couldn’t figure out why she wasn’t moving much. I would go get checked hun they don’t mind you going in better to be safe.. if I didn’t go get checked with my oldest he wouldn’t be here today..

I was in the hospital for a few days after mine and they were monitoring baby every 4 hours so I don’t remember if I noticed decreased movement. I do notice that at least 1-2 days per week is a “sleepy day” where they move less. As long as they are meeting the kick count I wouldn’t worry. Could be a growth spurt! Babies grow 1/2 pound per week the last few weeks.

I would go and get checked because even though others may have had the same it's always better to be safe ☺️
