I wanna be taken out on a date

So I've been with my boyfriend for almost a year. Most of our relationship is long distance because I go to school away, but I'm home for the breaks and summers and once a month or he comes to me once a month if I dont go home. My problem is hes never taken me out on a date. If we go out he makes me make the decisions about what we do. He says I'm indecisive and I need start making decisions. But I want to be taken out and romanced like a Queen and he doesnt get it. What should I do.
