Exercise and Pregnant??

Question

I am 14wks and i play softball ( now i just play offense, so batting and running)... Are there any women that are still physically active while pregnant?? How vigorous do you work out? Do yu think its safe for the baby? I kind of wanna keep going til at least 5mths but nervous for the baby. I have an appointment on 5/9 ill ask the dr as well, just need some opinions.

I’m still active! Before pregnancy I was working out 6 days a week, weight training, HIIT, Pilates. Since I have been pregnant, I work out about 4 days a week at a lower intensity (lighter weights, no running and no jumping). I try to walk 10k steps a day as well. I’m 16 weeks pregnant and all is well.

I think the only concern would be if there’s a chance you could get hit in the stomach with a ball? Otherwise staying active is great

I still run 5-6 miles about 4 times a week. Totally healthy and good for you to stay active. I did the same during my first pregnancy until the last maybe 6 weeks and then I just walked uphill on the treadmill

I’ve been a runner pretty much my whole life but started getting into full and half marathons about 5 years ago. I’m still running at 16 weeks pregnant, but only 2-3 times per week and running only 2-3 miles each time. I’ve also slowed my pace down considerably. It’s becoming more and more difficult with each run, but I’m making an effort to try to stay active. In my mind, even if I walk/run just a mile, it’s still better than sitting on the couch all evening! 
My doctor also said that since I ran before, I can continue as long as it feels comfortable. She did say to stay away from the marathons for now though. 🤣

Yesss I still play soccer, not competitivly and go on long hikes! With my first in was in the gym lifting up until two weeks until I delivered. If your body can handle it go for it girl

I’ve played softball my entire life too but my doctor told me to stop already because of 1) the risk of getting hit and 2) the twisting motion from swinging the bat.
