Slow leak ? Amniotic fluid? Hospital?

Question

I suspect that I am having a slow leak of amniotic fluid. Is a slow leak a reason to rush to the hospital? Hospital is about an hour away and I’d have to take LO to the in laws. I have a dr appointment in the morning at 9:30am. Should I wait for that ? I’m not having any other symptoms.

I’d call your OB or L&D department and see what they’d recommend.

If you’re leaking they can do a swab to check. It will turn blue if it’s fluid. Depending on how far along you are, before 20 weeks there is nothing that can be done. But if you’re almost ready to have the baby definitely get checked.
