Are we ready?

My husband and I got married in October and have been TTC for only 3 months now. We are both in our 30s and are ready for a baby...that is until I hear all the things that stress me out and make me think we should wait. But I fear there will always be an excuse or a reason to wait so why not try now?
What were your reservations on having kids? Did you wait till your debt was completely paid off, or till you dropped those extra 50 lbs, or till you bought a house? 
Or did you just go for it?

I really wanted to be mentally ready so I waited to start TTC until my 30’s. I saw friends who had kids in their 20’s and they felt resentful and wished they would have waited.

I wanted to go for it right at the wedding! But we had a lot of trouble with my husband's child from another relationship.. she hates me an told her dad if I got pregnant she would never see him again.. so we waited it was terrible for me I wanted nothing more then a family.. but it didn't seem to be in the cards for us. About a year ago I told my husband I know its gonna be hard for your daughter but I need a baby! I didn't give him an ultimatum but he knew where I stood an he could make his own choice. Well fast forward a couple months. His daughter decided she hated me and her dad(my husband) because her dad was married to me. I told him I'd give them space but he said no were family I choose to marry you an my daughter was fine with it (before the wedding) so were gonna stay a family an start a family of our own. So now we're trying! I honestly think it's mostly cuz his other kid doesn't wanna spend time with him so he wants a child who will actually want to be with him. Which hell as long as I get a baby I'm good!! It was a rough couple years! But you'll know when your ready, don't let other people's stories freak you out! It's not the same for everyone! Just make sure you an your SO are on the same page! 😁

Honestly having a baby gave me motivation to get my life together. There are no more excuses after the baby. You have to take care of and provide for this little human you made.

I wish we had started sooner. We waited until about 6 months after the wedding to get my IUD out I had been in a ton of pain and wish I had it taken out sooner and started trying sooner too. I’m going through the process of being diagnosed with PCOS right now too so if I had this information sooner it could have potentially helped us. There’s never a perfect right time to have a baby and putting it off will just make it so you don’t have kids at all unless you adopt.

We just went for it right after the wedding and I'm glad we did as it is taking much longer than expected. I think its important to have stability before u start trying but at the same time I also feel like there will always be an excuse as to why it's not the right time lol.
