What do I do?

Me and my boyfriend have been together a little over two years. We’ve talked about getting married in the past and decided to wait til we are older (I’m 20 he’s 22). I really want to be engaged though and I don’t know how to ask him to ask me to marry him 😂. I really just want to be able to tell people he’s my fiancé or at least wear a ring. What do I do?

Propose to him? 
Or if that’s not your thing, subtly bring up engagement and make comments about how you’d love to be his fiancé until y’all are ready for marriage

I was straight up with my fiancè. I told him I would love to be engaged and kind of brought it up often lol eventually we just mutually decided we were going to get married this year and then during out photoshoot to make our announcement he actually proposed to me. I did not see it coming lol I thought he was just going to skip an actual proposal
