Does your baby have a milk allergy?

I read that milk allergy causes constipation. As I introduce different foods, I’m starting on dairy products and I think it may be a culprit. Had to put him on a gentle non-milk formula since he was a newborn.

It probably does however I wanted to add there's lots of things that also cause it. We struggle periodically but my daughter is not allergic . She can eat yogurt but if she has a full serving to herself it's too hard on her belly, we can't even do oatmeal anymore even though she loves it. Their digestion systems are still maturing so milk may not be the culprit. Sweet potatoes are constipating, most dark greens create gas, it's all a balancing act and thankfully my baby loves prunes

My daughter was never diagnosed, so I’m not 100% sure she has a clinical cow’s milk protein intolerance, but she was super constipated until we switched her to a hypoallergenic formula. She still doesn’t eat much for solids, so she doesn’t get much dairy, but we gave her a little mashed potatoes (with butter and ½ n ½) and she did fine with it.
