Period came early?

I had gotten an IUD inserted about 1-2 months ago. I had one period through it and it came the time I expected it to come. It was just a lot lighter than usually and stopped and started. My doctor told after the one month check up that that was normal and maybe by the second period it would be even lighter. Two weeks afterwards, I started feeling cramps and when I wiped after I used the restroom, I had some reddish pink. For about a day or two, I was bleeding, but extremely light, almost spotting. Like, it only really appeared on the toilet paper but not much on the pad. Would this be my period even though it came about two weeks too early?
