Smoked for the first time, no effect?

I’m 22 years old and struggle with anxiety BADLY. I’ve never been interested in weed, but my bf said I should just try it and see if it helps. We shared a joint and we hit it about the same amount of times each. He said he felt it, but I felt nothing. Is this weird? Idk if it was because it’s my first time or what.

It’s pretty common for people not to get high the first time. Also it depends on how you were smoking it. Was it going into your lungs or were you just sucking it into your mouth?

Sometimes you don’t get high the first few times you smoke weed. I’d still start out slow and not smoke as much or you might get uncomfortably high

You may not be inhaling it well enough. I thought I was just unlucky when I first started but then I started to really inhale and hold it in a few seconds and boy I started feeling it then! Lol

You don’t need to inhale it to work that’s just what people say it’s been proven that as soon as it enters your body the thc starts to take action. So that’s definitely not the problem if you inhale too much it can hurt your lungs and throat. Just try smoking out of a bong or something
