My boyfriend and I have been together for a couple years and we are expecting a child together. I have one child from my previous marriage, and he has two from his previous marriage. My daughter lives with me, his kids stay with him every other weekend. His kids don’t come to my house because one is allergic to dogs. I’ve had my dog for 9 years, since she was a puppy. She’s my first baby. Well since we are pregnant, we obviously want to live together, but my boyfriend pretty much says I have to get rid of my dog. I’m not insensitive to his child having allergies, I completely understand. But I can’t imagine getting rid of my dog! It breaks my heart to even think about it. There has to be a different solution. He’s not a big animal person, so I feel like he thinks it’s not a very big deal. I don’t know what to do.
