Has anyone else NEVER co-slept with their child?

Question

The idea of rolling over on her or she becoming dependent on me to fall asleep always terrified me enough to give her her own space for sleep. This doesn’t seem like the popular option these days! Anyone else?

I don’t co-sleep for that reason and I also don’t want to have to wean my child out of my bed. I’ve always had my babies in their cribs since birth. I keep them next to me in my room in their crib for the first three months and then I move them into their room with the monitor. It’s just my personal preference that and a sex life with my husband is hard enough with a newborn, no need to make it harder. Lol. But like I said I just prefer it. Some moms really like co-sleeping and that’s totally okay.

Never had and never will. One, doesn't like sleeping in our bed, and two, I don't to have to teach her to sleep in her own bed.

I bed share. I’ve never rolled over and don’t see how I could. She sleeps great and since she’ll be our only one at least for awhile I don’t mind her being in bed with us. I love it! I couldn’t sleep when she slept in her crib cause I always thought she’d stop breathing and I wouldn’t be there in time. With her next to me she’s always there and I can feel her. Best feeling ever 🥰

There is bed-sharing and there is co-sleeping. I've done both just trying to figure what works the best. In the end, it was cosleeping using an arms reach sleeper next to the bed until she was 6 months. Doesn't matter what others do, do what works best for you  :)

For the first 8 weeks I was so exhausted I would fall asleep with my daughter laying on me (not all the time). I was so scared I would roll and hurt her but I was such a light sleeper and never once did. We stopped at 8 weeks and she just started sleeping all through the next in her cot 😬

I co sleep with my twins and my husband. We have nothing fancy on the side of the bed they are in with us. I sleep beside them and them to the wall my husband cuddles me. I tried in a pack and play beside our bed but they got sick and pitiful at 3 weeks and haven’t left our bed since.

I never thought I would because I used to be crazy in my sleep. I’d literally push people off the bed. But as soon as my daughter came the only way either of us could sleep was beside each other. I never move. I’m very aware. It’s just very natural for me. We now have her crib attached to our bed but with the one side off. So she has her own space but I’m still right beside her. Do what makes you comfortable!! No need to shame or feel shamed. Different things work for different people 😊

Depends on your definition of cosleep is. Baby sleeps in the same room as us which is what cosleeping is in the traditional sense. We do not bed share.

I’ve done it a few times when I couldn’t get my daughter back to sleep after hours of trying at 3 am. After 10 months old. Moved everything out of her way. And I half slept. I don’t like doing it. I’m absolutely terrified of her suffocating and dying. Our adult mattresses are not sleep safe approved. Their little faces can smoosh into the mattress and stop breathing. It’s only a super last resort thing for me. Never a nightly thing.

I will not co sleep. Bassinet by the bed for the first few months and eventually crib.
I have friends who co-sleep and are now struggling to get their child to sleep in their own bed at 2 and 3. One has had ongoing intimacy issues with her husband, another husbands sleeps in another room to make room for the child! 
These examples may be few and far between but it’s enough to make me want to start sooner than later in their own bed
