I feel guilty visiting israel

I’m doing a birthright trip to israel since I am 50% Jewish. I am super super excited about it to learn about my roots, until I’ve begun learning about the israel-Palestinian issues. It makes me sad what is happening there. I don’t want to feel guilty about this trip. I don’t know who originally is in the wrong since I’m pretty sure this fight for land has been going on since biblical times, but what I do know is Jews know what its like to have everything taken from them... why is israel doing this to others?? I want to be proud of my roots but I wish this war would end
