Gestational Diabetes?

So I’m about 9 and half weeks and got blood taken at 8 1/2 to check for anemia and thyroid, (which came back fine) because if I skip a meal just by a short amount of time, my blood sugar drops so bad I feel like I can’t move! How early can GD be tested for? I know I’m not eating enough right now because of my food aversions but it’s killing me especially if I don’t have a chance to eat while I’m at work!

Well your blood sugar dropping and gd are unrelated, especially if you know it’s because you’re not eating enough. 
However, I was tested at 15 weeks and 4 days because I have a family history of diabetes, and other risk factors.

If you aren’t eating enough of course your sugars are dropping. Pack some granola bars and snack each break.

i think unless you actually have diabetes they don’t do it until 24-28 weeks. i had mine done at 28

I will add that yes, ofcourse I know I’m supposed to be eating and not skipping meals! I’m a waitress so sometimes in those 3-4 hours I barely get a chance to have a drink so sitting and eating is rough. I have recently just told my manager I am pregnant so that should help things out a little bit, but instead of just being hungry I go full faint mode and light headed to the point where even sitting down I can’t seem to get my thoughts together! Please no judgement as I am a first time mom and this is all new to me.
