2 sides to every story
My husband was hired at a new job in January and agreed with the company to earn X amount of money an hour.
Recently someone in his department found out how much he makes (do to the carelessness of the company). This man spread the information throughout the entire company building that have several departments and has caused chaos and division between the departments and my husband. The childness goes as far as not speaking to my husband, going to great lengths to avoid my husband and certain departments threatening to quit if he doesn’t get a pay cut.
My husband got pulled into the office today asking to take a pay cut of up to $7 while the “gentleman” who complained got a raise to more than what my husband currently makes.
I understand those with seniority and those with the extra schooling would be upset for getting paid less than a newbie but I feel they are angry at the wrong person. My husband didn’t know what the other men made when he joined their “team”. He negotiated with the company and agreed to a certain amount and now they want to take it away 3 months later.
We need to talk tonight. Is there anything we should consider besides what his contract says, the legality and the integrity of the company?
