Would you ever give birth naturally in a tub ?

I just watched a girl on YouTube’s vlog of her giving birth in the tub naturally, and it was so beautiful.. so I’m curious, would you ever give birth at home in the tub?

I would definitely give birth in a tub (at a birthing center in a hospital!) Not at home though, especially after needing an emergency c-section as I was pushing with my son. I’d prefer to have the back up. But I labored in and out of a big tub at the hospital and I loved it! It helped immensely with the contractions. I wanted to try to give birth in a tub, but unfortunately the closest place that allowed it is like an hour away from where we live, so it wasn’t a reasonable option for us.

This might be for some people, but I am not one of them. Just not for me. When I had my son I meditated through labor and had him naturally at the hospital.

I would try a water birth, but I would never do a home birth. I always want to be at the hospital in case something goes wrong.

I wish my insurance covered a water birth! Unfortunately I’m stuck with the routine IV, hospital gown route. Can’t wear my own clothes or even labor in the private shower in my room even without pain medication. Against policy 😒 And it’s unfortunately against my lease to have a water birth, especially in my tub, with a midwife present.

One of my requirements for the hospital I give birth in is there has to be a tub in my room because it helps me with pain.

Absolutely.  If/when I have children, that's actually my preferred delivery.  Not only can it help with contractions but the buoyancy of the water can help the mother be in different positions that make delivery easier and aren't quite as easy otherwise.

Hell no. Would I labor in a tub for some pain management during early labor? Absolutely, but I would NEVER deliver in a tub. It's too dangerous.
