Do you use a home Doppler?

Question

I bought one today & cant find the heart beat.  I flipping hate it because it’s making me worry.  I wish I never purchased it.  I’m currently 15w 6days.  
If you do use one, how far along were you before you could detect a heart beat?
Also, do you think weight matters?  Say if you have more belly fat, it may be harder to detect?  
I’ve decided that I won’t be trying again.  And way too stressful & I worry too much as it is.

It was hard to find my baby’s heartbeat even at 20 weeks. Sometimes they are in a position you can’t hear.

I use mine whenever I just want to hear my babys heartbeat. I bought mine at around 12 wks. At first it was hard to find the babys heartbeat but around 13 weeks it was fairly easy to detect. I usually hear her/his heartbeat below my bellybutton area. I'm around the same time as you right now and I heard babys heartbeat just fine today.

I could pick up my baby’s heartbeat at about 14 weeks, and I’m pretty heavy. But, I had to hold my belly up. It’s very low that early, like still down by the pelvic bone almost, or at least that’s where I picked it up. I could also (and still can) pick up the beats that more closely align with mine from the placenta.

Yes, weight does matter. I never got one for the exact reason that I didn't want worry if I couldn't find it.

It can be hard to find, I always found my babies really low, right above my pubic line. 
They move around a lot too so it’s harder.. 
Honestly though, I’m 35 weeks & it’s harder to find it now than it was then.

I used mine today at 12 weeks 4 days and found baby! Baby is still pretty low. I suggest watching some youtube videos. It helped me.

I sometimes couldn’t find it until around 18-20 weeks. The baby is still small and has lots of places to hide. Once you get a little further along you will be able to find it quicker. Don’t let it stress you out, this is why they advise some women not to use them! Also uterus is very low at that many weeks, so I watched YouTube videos of other women using the Doppler to teach myself where to look. It just takes a little time ♥️

I purchased one, still to early to detect one here. But they are not near as sensative as ones at the doctors office, keep in mind, I could find my own heartbeat when I tried it out, but failed to find my husbands. So... that tells you its gotta be a pretty signifacant beat in order to register. I also heard you have yo be very precise with them. Try not to worry yourself.
