Anyone else already contemplating homeschool? 😭

There’s so much violence and death happening in all grades. Im terrified to send my sweet baby to public school!

I want to homeschool mine for no other reason than I know I can do a better job than public school can. (I'm studying to be a teacher anyway.) I plan to start her with "toddler school" as soon as she's walking and talking well enough to do it.

I am for sure but not only because of how scary life is right now but because I know what I want her to learn. I don’t want her to be a follower but a leader.
I literally looked into this at a church Q&A about it. I loved everything about it & all the people who had homeschooled filled us in on their experiences. They basically did all the heavy lifting research for me. 
We are heavily considering because we don’t agree with a lot going on.

There is so much going on in this world but you also can’t bubble wrap your kids either.

I was homeschooled all the way through (and loved it) and if my husband (who’s a special ed teacher) can do so, we will be homeschooling our son. The schools in our area are not ones we want our child in. We have amazing co-ops for doing classes, field trips, and so many opportunities for group activities we are sure he would grow up well socialized and with a top notch education.

I have thought about it because I work in the school system here and I don't want our girl to be exposed to some of the situations that occur in the schools at such a young age. However, we can't afford for me to stay home either. There is a charter school that has opened this year though so that might be an option. There are also a bunch of parochial schools here but I would feel weird sending her there since they all opened as a way to resist integration. We have some time to think about it thankfully.

I was just saying this!! I mean I’ve thought it but thought I may feel differently. Now that he’s here, I for sure want to home school him for safety and hopefully to teach him all the things he’d learn in traditional school and then some.

Move to Canada! Schools are safe and public schools do a decent job 🙂
