Because of you...

Because of you I learned how to laugh uncontrollably, I learned how to truly smile, I learned how to open up to someone, I learned how to trust, and I learned how to love unconditionally. I learned how to put you before myself... Because of you I learned how to fake a smile and a laugh, I learned how to hide bruises, I learned how to lie to my family, I learned how to hate myself. When you left I didn't think I could keep going..... but because of you I learned how to forgive myself, I learned how to believe that I'm worth it, I learned how to smile again, I learned how to love someone but let them go. Because of you I learned how to overcome fear, anger, sadness and hatred. Because of you I learned that I will never let another man put his hands on me or disrespect me again. Because of you I am me. Even though you put me through hell, thank you for teaching me all of those things.
