Nipple shields

Little one is 17 days old and was a little bit premie. Can latch onto breast occasionally but find using a nipple shield is more comfortable for both of us.

I’ve noticed that my breasts never feel extremely engorged and that my milk supple seems as if it’s not keeping up with him. Had to use formula at night to supplement.

Anyone else find that the nipple shields lower your supply? Did you have to pump to keep it up or what did you do
