Heart palpitations in early pregnancy?

Hi girls! So yesterday and today I’ve been having heart palpitations and a few sharp pains in my chest along with struggerling to get my breath (taking a deep long breath in) I went to my gp and they did an ecg and did my blood pressure and everything.. everything came back normal expect I may be suffering from anemia a little and anxiety.. is this normal? Has anyone else suffered with this? Worried me slightly xx

I have bad palpitations because of anxiety. Your heart is working harder to pump blood now, so it can be normal.

Oh yesss I had them for a whole week in the beginning and eventually just went away 💕it’s normal .. your hormones are going crazy just relax

Yes! I’m only 4 weeks but I’ve had them awful since my hormone levels have been changing

I never had this with my first pregnancy. But this pregnancy I’ve had this issue a lot it first started when I was around 6 weeks and I’m now 29 weeks and still happens especially if I’ve been stood a while (I’m a hairdresser) I too had checks at doctors and everything came back normal I was told that pregnancy was just taking it’s toll on my body this time round. I am only a small frame to be honest. But it’s not nice and it’s very scary. The only advice I can give is when you need to rest make sure you do and drink plenty of fluids it helps

This happened during my whole first pregnancy, it’s because baby’s blood is being pumped through your heart as well and sometimes it makes it palpitate it’s nothing to be too worried about.

I had heart palpitations with my son. Not had it with this pregnancy yet. It's totally normal and common. Our bodies are producing extra blood and our bodies are working harder to get it pumped round our body.
