Took a laxative at 27 weeks should I be worried???

I’ve never heard that this was dangerous I only took one last night & my mom is saying its super dangerous???

It's ok. If it causes bad diarrhea that can irritate the uterus and lead to contractions- which is why people use castor oil to induce labour. 
But only taking one - if it's gentle, should be fine

It shouldn’t hurt anything you shouldn’t take any more as they can stimulate the bowl which can also stimulate the uterus into contractions but one shouldn’t do much, my dr had approved stool softeners such as mirelax restorealax, milk of magnesia and Metamucil which are gentle softeners instead of laxatives good luck I feel your pain xx
