Husband might miss birth of his child?

Should I ask to be induced or not? So in addition to gestational diabetes I also have a history of severe preeclampsia with my 21 month old. The preeclampsia was so bad it caused my daughter to have intrauterine growth restriction and she was born at 35 weeks 6 days weighing 3lbs 11oz. I also have incompetent cervix and I have a cerclage (cervical stitch) in place. I’m 29 weeks 3 days so I’m getting anxious as my due date is approaching. In the beginning of my pregnancy another doctor told me with my history they won’t let me go past 37-38 weeks. My husband is out of state at a new job and can only get a week off during 4th of July week. My due date is July 26, but the week of July 4th puts me right around 37 weeks. If nothing crazy happens between then do you think I should ask to have a scheduled induction around that date? Or do you think the doctors would look at me like I’m crazy. Im scared to ask lol. Do you think it’s too early to bring it up? I have an appointment on Wednesday when I’ll be 29 weeks 5 days and I really want my husband there with me. He can’t get an off before that since it’s a new job that he had to move out of state for.
