Dominion Fertility?

Has anybody used Dominion Fertility? We have tried Shady Grove and most recently had a consult with Washington Fertility Center but we don’t love either one of them.... thoughts? Opinions?

I put a feeler out there to two clinics today -  shady Grove and Dominion fertility. Shady Grove refused to see me because I haven't been trying for a year, and Dominion responded with "which location do you prefer?" Lol So I definitely felt welcome! I haven't set up my appt yet but they seem to be way more understanding than SGF

Shady grove is ridiculously expensive compared to other paces. The doc I saw was also really money oriented. At the first visit half of what he talked about was money money money. It was so off-putting. We never went back. He was supposed to be a doctor but came off as a salesman. Plus why the hell would ONE IVF cycle be 20,000$ ?!?! Penn fertility is 10,000$. The doctor tried to act like SGF success eyes were so much higher with IVF, but when I looked it up after my visit they were almost exactly the same. Shady is right.

I started with Dominion in the Ballston office a few months ago after trying for a year after going off the pill and having irregular cycles. They diagnosed me with PCOS and got me on the right meds and now my cycles are regular. We are on our third timed intercourse cycle (all the meds and the hcg shot but not the turkey baster and price tag of IUI). We had a chemical pregnancy the first cycle which was very promising. I see Dr. DiMattina and we have a great rapport though most of the time I spend interacting with the nurses during monitoring who are great. Going to try 5 more cycles and then start talking IVF 🤞🏻.

I'm gojng through SGF, and I LOVE my doctor, nurse, and the communication with the financial coordinator. Everything has to be paid at time of service(or before cycle), but that is understandable as I'm sure they've been taken advantage of in the past. We are getting ready to start our first timed intercourse cycle with SGF. The $1600 is the only thing standing in our way right now, but we are applying for financing in case it takes more than one cycle.
My only complaint is that I had to pay for all of my diagnostics out of pocket. You cannot apply for financing until you have a treatment plan, which is after all diagnostics are run.

I did two IUIs there and am just starting IVF. So far everyone has been really nice and responsive to calls/emails and my many questions. I’d heard that Shady Grove is a bit of a factory and that Dominion gives you more personalized care, which is why I chose them (though I have nothing to compare it to because I didn’t end up shopping around).

Try Genetics and IVF located in Fairfax, VA.  All inclusive clinic with a wonderful doctor.  If you are looking for an intimate setting and all treatment options done in house this would be a great place to go.
