So proud of my PhD graduate of a boyfriend!

My boyfriend just graduated with a PhD in Biochemistry and Infectious Diseases from Vanderbilt University!

He’s come a long way, and I’ve been by his side for the past 6 months, pushing him to keep going. It’s so tempting to want to give up, but he has amazing drive. I love him so much 😍

He’s Mexican and I’m Puerto Rican/Peruvian, and our goal is to make sure there’s more multicultural people in the science and technology fields. I’m beginning to connect with our community and empowering Latinx teens by discussing their potential. It’s important to have a mentor! I definitely wish I had one growing up.
