Has anyone asked to be tested?

Has anyone ever just felt like something is wrong? I'm having symptoms that could be a few different things. I'm wondering if anyone has called their OB to request blood tests to test if you are anemic or have preeclampsia? I feel kind if psycho for wanting to call, but I truly can't shake this feeling something is wrong. I've looked over my previous labs that I've had done throughout this pregnancy, and I have low RBC and low HGB everytime, but no one has said anything about being anemic? Although the symptoms I'm experiencing could be due to anemia, preeclampsia, or gestational diabetes (taking my 3hr test on Tiesday since I failed my 1hr).
I just want to know if I'm going to sound like a psycho for asking them to test it 😂😂

I have been telling my doctor something was off for weeks. I developed eclampsia 13 years ago with my first child and I just started feeling different. Swelling was really bad around 27 weeks and my headaches got more severe. I kept pushing and we didn’t a 24 hour urine test, came back slight at 323mg or protein but given my past we all knew what was coming. My BP got to 155/88 and they told me to go into triage immediately. My doctor still brushed me off and acted like these were all normal symptoms until I met with the high risk doctor and he said even though it’s early, it’s there. Did my second round of steroids today just in case I can’t hold out 4-5 more weeks. I am now 32+4 and on outpatient bed rest. I see the high risk doctor twice a week now for biophysical exams to make sure the baby is thriving. If I don’t stay put and take it easy they will make me go back into antepartum until delivery. I am glad we caught it before it started getting too bad, this way we have time to get a plan in place. Always trust your instinct and keep fighting for them to give the test 🙏

You would do a 24 hr urine test for pre-eclampsia. But if you feel something is off then call your doctor and explain it and follow their advice or go to ER. Don't wait around looking for answers here girl!

Back your instincts and ask. If they say no, ask them to make a record that you requested the tests.

You can ask for tests but they likely won't do them if they don't find a reason to other than you feeling like something is off
