Advice, Is This Normal?

I had my IUD ‘Kyleena’ inserted at the beginning of this month and I had just started my period and the cramping is so painful that I cannot get out of bed. The cramps were not easy for a couple of days after insertion but these are much more painful. I had never gotten period cramps before the insertion and now it is making it hard to sleep and I am keeping my boyfriend awake with all of the tossing and turning throughout the night. Is this normal or is something wrong?
